The picture taken in August of 2005 is from my hometown, Fort Wayne, Indiana. The creature is a mastodon after the hometown team, Indiana-Purdue Universiy-Fort Wayne. Years ago, a mastodon fossil was found on the campus grounds. This golden mastodon was located in front on the Lincoln Tower, which for many years was the tallest building in Indiana with its 16 floors.
This year Fort Wayne has 'SNEAKERS'. Come and take a look....although the Mastodons were neater and more of them. The horses in Florida several years ago were the best. Of Course in the huge town of Hoagland we have.....nothing. Ruthie
Like the mastadon but also like the cup/plate series. Am fascinated by the term "brambleberries". English people call them blackberries and we Scots call them brambles, but I've never heard your variant. Lovely plate, anyway.

Oooh! Isn't that lovely?
Wow!!! Love it!!!
My grandmother collected elephants...
Oh, and Bethany learned to say the word "elephant" two weeks ago. Only she feels the bizarre need to whisper it!
Monday's Child is fair of face
Tuesday Child is full of grace
Wednesday's Child is full of woe
Thursday's Child has far to go
Friday's Child is loving and giving
Saturday's Child works hard for a living
But Sunday's Child is fair and wise
and good and gay

What a fun photo. And story behind it is even more interesting. Did they find the whole creature or just one bone?
Thank you for visiting my blog. :)
