Not Nice

Yep, that is me. No really, even though I have received blogging awards to the contrary from some very nice people Robin of Pensieve and Chris B of Ms. Cellania, I want you to know that I am really not that nice. Nice people remember loved one's birthdays. I forget to even send cards to family and friends. Nice people graciously accept both gifts and compliments. When I receive the kindest of compliments or the nicest of gifts, I am tongue-tied and tend to stammer and stutter something meaningless to the giver. If you knew me in person, chances are I would interrupt your personal conversations, or I would actually interrupt you during our conversation. In addition to these irritating personality flaws, I enjoy razor-sharp sarcasm. So occasionally, if we are conversing, I might throw a blade of witticism at you at your expense.

If you are disillusioned, I would like to point out that there are some very nice people in the world and in the blogging community. Sarah of Milk and Honey is one very nice person. She is making personal difference in the fight against breast cancer by walking 60 miles in three days in October of 2007. Her fundraising goal is $5,000. Please be nice, visit Sarah, and make a donation for the fight against breast cancer through the link on her site.

Who doesn't forget birthdays and other special days? We remember those of our children, grand childen, parents ...siblings, and friends understand because they too forget. Besides...getting older looses its importance as we get older. We all get tongue-tied when compliments/gifts are given...shocked in some cases. Who doesn't interrupt? Probably cause if we didn't we wouldn't remember what we were gonna say. Sarcasm is good sometimes.....so why aren't you NICE?

Those are only little transgressions and I bet family and friends forgive you -after ragging you a bit first. I can laugh at myself so yes you are still nice :)

You are still NICE, you are just not perfect! Who is? I tend to interrupt sometimes also, not listen as well as I should, get overwrought about silly, little things, and can be negative, whiny and critical. I too am VERY sarcastic. We are both nice people though who mean well!

Oh, thank you Molly. Thank you for the nice things you said, and thank you for the plug for my walk. Most of all, thank you so much for the generous donation. That was so nice of you. You made a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer, because as always, you did something selfless to help other people who need help! That's the best, and most important, kind of nice!

Thank you for being who you are, and for being a great friend to my folks and me.

Everyone forgets something or other at sometime. You are a most wonderful person. The only time you might not be so wonderful is when your keys get miss placeed. But then who doesn't go nuts looking for their keys?
