right after this photo was taken an alligator shot out of the water and ate the gull. authorities say the gator washed it down with some fava beans and a nice chianti
Must be nice... No beach for us. We've got *cue dramatic music* RED TIDE. Not to be confused with having one's period. The beach is covered in dead fish right now. Bleh.
Furoiusball- He,he - I am rather sure that here are no alligators in Lake Michigan.
Tink - From time to time the Lake Michigan shoreline is cluttered with dead alewives (fish not to be confused with barmaids.)Alewives are one of the saltwater fishes that swims through the Saint Lawrence Seaway and dies on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Lisa- There are not too many days of warm beach weather left in the year. And, soon the gulls will be migrating to wherever they go in the winter.

I want a warm beach! It is 55 degrees here for a HIGH, and no beach. Grumble.
Ah, mjd, but someone did shoot and kill a gator in Wisconsin last week. I think, though, it was a pet that had been released.
We've got som nay different gulls down on the coast. Most of them don't look that stoic, though.
Have YOU seen my mommy?
In my next life i want to have wings.....
Super day on the beach. The birds are fun. They own the beach.
Is that gull eyeing you off or what? Do you have a french fry in your hand? LOL
"There are not too many days of warm beach weather left in the year." That's what I was going to say!! Oh well.
At least I get to leave a comment without WV, that's got to be worth something.
Wonder if that is Jonathon.
Willowtree - You are so right word verification is a big pain. If I get spam comments, I have not reconized them as such.

That blue is just gorgeous! The gull really makes a great contrast against the blue background.
Beautiful, serene picture! I wish I was at a beach right now. Maybe if I close my eyes...at least I can pretend!
