This time, we officially knew about the new grandbaby on May 30th. However, Luke and Frema thought that a new baby might be on the way earlier in May. Like most modern couples, Luke and Frema, rely home pregnancy tests to ascertain the news about impending births. In fact, for Frema's pregnancy with Kara, she tested for positive results six times. Verification of this baby has been more elusive. You can read about the young couple's adventure of family growth by reading posts on Frema's personal blog and on her professional blog, Parental Discretion Advised, that she writes for Parents magazine. You should read some of the entries about this new baby; our daughter-in-law is a passionate writer. But, if you do not check out any of the other links, read about Luke's adventure to buy a home pregnancy test kit. You will not be sorry. This is a very funny and heart-warming story.
This Mother's Day, which is also the second wedding anniversary of the happy couple, I received basket full of lovely scents and the Willow Tree Grandmother figurine from the quickly growing family of Luke, Frema, and Kara. This thoughtful gift may be symbolic of my present status of grandmotherhood to my current grandchildren and to my next grandbaby. Stay tuned for more adventures in being a grandparent.

Congratulations Molly, oh and I guess Frema and Luke to ;)
Yeah babies! Frema and Luke have it all figured out.
Congrats!!! Just read something like...for every baby that is born, a grandparent is born as well...and this post echoes that post!
Sorry I did not make it with Fun Monday...things had been chaotic with my schedule lately...I will make it up...promise!
That is wonderful news!! I remember when Kara was born. It seemed like yesterday. Where does the time go? Congrats to the parents and grandparents!
I totally remember when Kara was born. How neat that Kara's getting a baby brother or sister. :)
My 1st grandchild was born Feb 2007 and he's getting a baby brother or sister on Chirstmas. :)
What a wonderful gift basket. I am way excited about the new baby. The second one is so much easier. I call Heather my "starter kid".I even read that idiot DR Spock. Frema will sure have lots of cute stories when there are 2 little ones running through the house. Christmas is always so much better for kids when they have a brother or sister to share in the excitement.
Kara and baby number two sure are lucky to have such loving and caring grandparents! :)
Wonderful stuff! Today I became an aunt to a little boy named Zac, exciting hey!
Congratulations once again! How lucky you are! Kara is growing up fast! What a cutie! I am getting quite clucky, all these babies coming along! I swear every second person I come across these days is either pregnant or knows someone who is! Must be something in the water supply!
PS I LOVE that basket, very nice.
Psst! I did leave the uc out, unlike someone I know! Just sayin'
yeah, babies are a blessing, congratulations
Wow congrats, they are going to be so busy. I bought my mum that figurine the Mothers Day after Miss M was born. My mum was there for the birth as Mr B was ill and was only allowed in for the final moments so my mum got me through it. She's an amazing Gran, and I bet you are too.
Congratulations! Such exciting news :)
Congratulations to all involved!
I look forward to becoming a Grandma. I am in NO hurry but that doesn't stop me from looking forward to it!!
