Fun Monday - Second Anniversary Edition

Welcome to the Second Anniversary Celebration of Fun Monday. For this week's assignment Julie of Another Chance Ranch is asking us to show pictures inside our door. So without further fanfare, please step inside. If you are a regular visitor to my house, you would come to the back door. Would you like a cup of coffee, or how about a cup of hot tea? Have a seat at the kitchen table. I thought about showing you the white metal cabinets last week for our quirky Fun Monday. We considered replacing these, but new expensive wooden cabinets might overwhelm our modest decor. However, we do have a very nice ceramic tile floor installed by our own, Daddy D.

However, if this is your first visit, you might enter by the front door. Have a seat. We bought the couch many years ago with a paltry raise, but the couch does include fold-out bed. Besides that, the sofa is comfy and is still in good condition. I will make that coffee now. Would you like cream or sugar? Perhaps, you prefer to sit in the rocking chair. Daddy D bought the antique chair to rock our second baby, Luke, to sleep. Luke is now expecting his second baby on February 5th. One of my favorite pieces in the living room is the octagon-shaped rug; we had it custom-made. Most of the furniture in the room was handed down from our parents or made by my husband's grandfather.

I hope that you enjoyed your visit. We will be sure to keep the porch light on, but perhaps we should buy a new fixture.

Oh, love your blue walls in the kitchen. Your home looks very inviting, hmm, do you have tea?

Your house has character and a welcoming feel to it! I love that a lot of your furniture was made by your husband's grandfather.....

Just a few years ago we bought new furniture... we called our other stuff "Early Marriage" hee hee. And truth be told, I liked our "early marriage" stuff so much better for comfort. h a

If it's morning when I come in, I'll take coffee with cream. Thank you.

After noon? TEA!

LOL at Pamela, if I get there in the afternoon, I will just bring the wine, okay? Coffee or tea will be fine for the morning session!

My house growing we always used the back door too and hung out in the kitchen. Thats not possible at my place as the back doors are both on the sides of the house and its so much easier to get in the front way!

I would like to come in the back door to sit in your kitchen with the lovely blue walls. I'd like a cup of coffee please with cream and sugar. Then I would want a tour of the house and a history all your wonderful furniture. In our house, most friends come in through the garage/laundry room and not to our front door either.

You keep a tidy home! It is so nice that you have some heirloom furniture. I am sure each piece has a story with it. Thanks for sharing!

Tea please, with milk and honey.

I love your furniture. Nothing that is made today has as much character and quality as the older stuff, and handmade furniture is the best.

I really like your kitchen. I used to have metal cabinets in my first apartment and I actually liked them quite a bit. I'd have kept yours too.

Your livingroom looks quite welcoming. May I sit in the rocker?

I have my fun Monday post up now. I'm sure looking for Jesus wasn't what you had in mind when you came by earlier!

OOH - I LOVE the blue walls in the kitchen. The white cabinets look good in there.

Front or back I would be delighted to join you for coffee. I take a little milk but no sugar and I could get very cosy in the rocking chair, which caught my eye. :)

Hi Molly, I brought you a bottle of wine to enjoy together with you in that lovely kitchen of yours!! I love how the kitchen is the heart of the house where you live too!
That furniture must mean a lot to you, knowing who made it!
Thank you so much for the hospitality!

The kitchen table looks really good. Your household must be ahead of what the 44th President said about "bills on the kitchen table..." Nice.

Well Molly, I'd love to have a cup of coffee with you at that good kitchen table. Take it with some milk so no danger in spilling and ruining Daddy D's fine tile job. I appreciate that many of your furniture pieces have such positive and long lasting memories. Ah, the days when there was enough of a teacher's raise to buy a new sofa.!

Oh I would like to come through the kitchen (I love your blue walls) and I would like tea with a bit of sugar or honey.

I hope you would come in my back door as well straight into my kitchen. :)
