Fun Monday: Quiet Time and Place

The lovely Sayre of Sayre Smiles continues as our Fun Monday hostess. Our assignment this week is to show our quiet places. I especially like this topic. In our new home, we have a few quiet places. When the weather is warm, our front porch is a pleasant setting to relax.

When the mosquitoes are swarming, we have a spacious screened-in back porch to spend time pondering the glories and mysteries of life.

When the weather is inclement, I enjoy looking out the bowed front window to see this in the summer

and this in the winter.

envy the enclosed porch. fortunately we didn't see many mosquitoes this summer and fall (knock on wood)

I don't think we've had as many hornets, yellow jackets, wasps either

I have a nice back porch but it's not screened in. One of these days, I will do that, add a hammock and THAT will be my quiet place.

Love yours. Your places are so serene looking!

I wish we had an enclosed porch, too. So far we've had little time to enjoy the porches we have!

Very nice on all sides. That green rug looks like a nice practice putting surface.

Glad you have plenty spaces in your new home for peace and quiet, Molly. Like your other commenters, I covet your screened in porch and the great vistas. And thanks for that blessedly cool snapshot of winter. Can you believe that we're getting 94 degrees today? Give it up summer!
