Today's word for the Photo-a-Day task is chair. For this picture unlike other days, there was no indecision. I knew exactly what chair to show. Pictured here is the rocking chair that we bought second-hand before our youngest child, Luke, was born. Our oldest son did not sleep much as a baby. I thought that a rocker would help put our new baby to sleep. However, Luke unlike his brother went to sleep with relative ease and did not especially care to be rocked. The lovely afghan was crocheted by a dear friend as she was recovering from radiation and chemotherapy for her cancer,

That wooden chair is a very nice piece. The afghan adds to the niceness. It took two looks to get it. But the right choice was made after all. It has been re-glued and is rock solid.
That's a beautiful afghan! I love the colors. I loved to rock way more than either one of my children did. :) (and it put ME to sleep, not them)
It's so nice to see you posting again! Looking forward to enjoying many more of your wonderful posts. Cindie (LostASock's mom)
Neither of your grandsons have particularly liked being rocked to sleep either, but Kara would probably still like to be rocked if she were small enough to fit in someone's lap.
Thank you Cindie.
