Fun Monday - Taking It Easy

Good News...Captain Corky of Corky's Log and his lovely wife Allyson are brand new parents as of Friday, July 6th. Captain Corky is brimming with pride and has posted pictures of the sweet baby.

This week's Fun Monday host, Deb of Deb's Melon's Patch, has this request, "Show your favorite place to relax. It can be a chair, corner, ledge, or limb. :) Get out those cameras and take pics or just write how you feel when you are in your zone."

My current favorite place to relax is on our new multi-position reclining chairs on the patio that leads to our backyard. In addition, to the reclining chairs, we have a new slate-top table to place a snack, a refreshing beverage, and our current reading material. This relaxation spot provides a serene atmosphere for friendly conversation, for morning coffee, for leisurely summer lunches, for the opportunity to catch a few rays, for a peaceful afternoon nap and for quiet reflection. I cannot ask for more than that.

To see how other folks relax throughout our world, hurry over to Deb's Melon's Patch to see a list of other Fun Monday participants.

There is nothing better than outdoor relaxing, in a multi-position reclining chair no less!

Did you turn those around for the photo? If I lived there, I'd have them facing the other way so that I was looking at that beautiful yard.

Thanks for the shout-out MJD!!! How many years do you think it will be before I can relax again? ;)

Oh, I am so envious of that lovely swath of green. We just moved into a recently built house, and the backyard has yet to grow in! :-( Lucky you!

I love your patio and backyard... I can almost hear the birds chirping from here!!

OK, I'm flying over with my cup of coffee to sit and relax with you. I hope the view in front of those chairs is as nice as the view behind them. Look at that green grass. We don't have green grass here in the High Desert...only green tumbleweeds.

Can I bring my library book and sit in your chair and read for awhile?

Those look very comfy. Ditto what WT said. You have such a lovely expanse of green and I'd want to look at that while sitting in those chairs. Green is one of the most relaxing and refreshing colors, isn't it?

Those look lovely. Reading a book with a glass of ice tea in easy reach. That's what I picture!

Hmm, I'm picking up so many good ideas! I haven't yet got any garden furniture. I like yours very much; especially the varying positions with the cushy little head pillows!

I can just see us snoozing after a Sunday Roast;).

Those chairs look VERY comfy - especially since they are in the shade. I could sit there with a cool glass of lemonade.

Oh, Molly, that looks like a WONDERFUL spot...for sooo many things :). What is your view from them (since I agree w/WT, behind them is lovely).

I would've loved to hear your "creative comment"...I haven't had time to even process all of them yet...that's for tomorrow or the next day :).

That is a perfect place to relax--the trees, the dappled light, the chairs, etc... I would love it. I often sit on our deck with a book, but it doesn't have a forest next to it, just a yard and a big black trampoline.

Great place to read, talk, and rest...provided there are no bugs. Two chairs are to share.

Oh! That looks so comfy. Right now, Hoop and I have no furniture on our porch. We go out every night and sit on the hard cement. It didn't really bother me until a spider ran across my hand last night. Eeee.
