Have you seen this?

Listen to what the future Vice-President Cheney had to say in 1994 about invading Iraq, and what might happen if the US invaded Iraq. I guess that he has had a change of heart. I do not say this often, but it appears that Cheney was right.

I have to admit that he was RIGHT, so why are we in Iraq? I could have and did say the exact same thing when we invaded Iraq, but I was very much in the minority--even in my blue state.

I am glad you posted this. Isn't it amazing what you can find on YouTube?

WOW
It's like he's a prophet! I guess once you start shooting people in the face, you have a different outlook on things.

mjd,
I know nothing of Mr. Cheney or his politics, but, I would ask, do the American people really NEED him to tell them. what any sentient being knows instinctively, that WAR is NOT the answer?

I've seen this floating around. I suppose it only worked for him then because his party was not in the White House. It's amazing the change of heart you can have when you realize the opportunity to make a buck.

Or, maybe he really did have a change of heart during that last heart surgery?

Yes Cheney had by-pass surgery... by-pass your true heart for a bigger salary, and place in history. I think it's called selling your soul.

There is a big change in position. It depends on whose team you are on at the time of the statement, as to what the statement will turn out to state.

I think there's a word that should be used when talking about this "man" === IMPEACH!!!

Too bad he didn't stick to his guns.

Very interesting. Smart guy.

Cheney & Bush never said it would be quick and easy, but I think we had to do it. We couldn't ignore a madman like Saddam for much longer. The UN sure wasn't going to do anything about him.

Remember that all throughout the 1990's people were saying about the Gulf War, "We should've taken out Saddam and finished the job." Even those on the far left, like Kerry, wanted to get rid of Saddam during the 90's. Well, we finally did. The problem is that Americans have very short memories and are too impatient.

The novelist, Frederick Forsyth, in his 1994 book The Fist of God, explained why the US should not remove Saddam Hussein. Everything he said has come true.

If a novelist could figure it out...
